Overall, out of all the different types of photography, landscape photos have slowly become
my favorite. I find it to be so refreshing to see a beautiful image of what's going on outside. I could never see too many nature photos. Ansel Adams is my favorite photographer because he shows the beauty of the earth in a very elegant and moving way. His work has a certain dreamy-ness to it that is unique compared to other photographers. The images lead your eyes all over the frame and keep you gazing at the photo. His work is unbelievably beautiful and inspiring. He is a talented man  that has also taught, given lectures and has written books on methods of photography.

Reading Response Chapter 2

Chapter 2 was very helpful because it talked about all the different types of lenses that are available for DSLR cameras. The default 18-55mm lens that came with my camera is the only one I have, as I start taking more photos though I'd like to try out another lens. Reading this chapter gave me a lot of good information that will help when it comes to choosing another lens.

Reading Response Chapter 1

The first chapter in "A Short Course in Digital Photography" talked a lot about the basic functions of the camera. For me, this chapter was a review of many things that I already know about cameras. I already have a basic understanding of aperture and shutter speed, however I found that the tips on technique were useful and the information on how to properly clean the camera was useful. Overall this chapter covered a lot and had lots of information that will be helpful to remember the next time I'm shooting.
